The OKO was formed by Uncle Frank Ordonez to perpetuate the teaching of Kajukenbo. Uncle Frank was primarily responsible for the development of Kajukenbo, which is the world’s first mixed martial art.

Uncle Frank passed away in 2017. Jason Groff (Uncle Jason) succeeded him as the head of the OKO.
